Hikari Yume - Leave (UTAU Cover)

I realllly need to be more active . .. I know this . . . but I'm in a motivationless pit of darkness (not as in the good kind that is also Hikari's twin xD) but not the kind of depressed darkness that makes people do stupid stuff either .. .just kind of meh  

*To the people I owe requests . ..I haven't forgotten . . . I am trying (and it will get done at some point)

- below follows my account of how I got to doing this (since it wasn't planned) .. . feel free to ignore it *shotshot*

Buuuut then I was listening to vocaloid songs on youtube as I often do when in this motivationless pit and after following the recommended videos for about 2 or 3 hours I ended up
at GUMI's Leave . . . and as I do whenever I find a song I like I started looking around to see if anybody has made a vsq/vsqx/ust of the song for cover purposes and was happy to find a UST was available (thank you Shizukana Yuki). So I downloaded it and stuck it in UTAU to check its quality and stuff and found (to my dismay at the time) that it was VCV (yay for smoothness but I only have 1 VCV bank  ) so I stuck Axis (only VCV bank I have *shot*) on it and had her sing a few lines . .. and found the UST was really nice.

So naturally I converted it to CV and stuck Hikari on it (at the time only to ensure it didn't make her sound like a potato) and after letting her sing a few lines ended up having her run through the whole song . . . twice. Not wanting to waste the moment of motivation I had stumbled across I rendered her vocals and mixed them. Then while watching Gumi's version again (to check that I'd aligned the vocal track properly on Hikari's) I noticed her dress was similar to one I had seen in the MMD mall . . . so I downloaded that  . . . it was made for TDA so I stuck it on my TDA Hikari base and was happy to see it fit with only minor adjustments. . ..so now I had a model to use as a cover picture . . . yay  .

So content with doing that I rendered a lazy pic of Hikari in her new dress for a cover and was looking for my photoshop shortcut (I don't really remember what I wanted it for though) and came across my Sony Vegas shortcut (unused in a few months) that had randomly stopped working one day. Searching online for a solution while I remembered I found that an update ought to fix it . . . so I let it update while I had dinner. Came back to find it working (yay  ). . . so naturally I had to test it to make sure it was fully functioning.

One thing led to another then and well . . . yeah

This is a very simple little vid, primarily just lyrics over a white background with a few (lazy) stills of Hikari, still its something ^_^  (and good practice for future MVs)
